Managing all the different aspects involved with running a pub can be very difficult. In a busy environment the risk associated can be extremely high. We want to provide you with simple, straightforward policy so that you can be sure insurance is the last of your worries.
A pub policy can be tailored specifically to meet your business needs. Below are just some of the cover types that could be included to your insurance policy:
Buildings and contents cover
If you own or are responsible for insuring your premises, buildings insurance will cover you if your building was to become damaged as a result of fire, flood, theft or other such risks.
In addition to buildings cover, you could also include contents insurance with your policy, which covers you if your stock or contents are stolen or damaged.
Public liability cover
Public liability insurance will be essential cover for a pub as it will most definately come into regular contact with members of the public. If a member of the public was to incur injury at your pub or as a result of it's operations then public liability would cover you in the event of a claim being made.
Employers’ liability cover
If you have employees working for you, you are legally required to have employers’ liability insurance. Every business in the UK that employs staff is required to have at least £5 million of employers’ liability cover in place. If a bar worker was to trip over while carrying empty glasses and break their leg, or sustain a similar type of injury in the workplace, employers’ liability would cover your business against possible legal action.
