The London marathon is a dream for many of us, but not quite so many ever get to the starting line.
One Constructaquote employee, Matttew Vivers was determined to turn his lifelong dream into a reality and on Sunday he’ll be running those famous 26.2 miles for Cystic Fibrosis Trust.
With the help of friend and colleague Gemma Hale, at SME Insurance specialist Constructaquote.com, who’s husband is living with the debilitating disease cystic fibrosis, Matthew has raised an impressive amount of money whilst ConstructaQuote agreed to match whatever money was raised amounting to the grand total of £3,700 for the Cycstic Fibrosis Trust.
He’s planning to run the entire course and finish with a respectable time and has been busy in training since Christmas.
The London marathon takes place this Sunday, 22 April and covers a 26.2 mile course that takes London’s famous sights from the starting line in Blackheath to the final stretch up the Mall to the finish line. The marathon is in its 30th year, attracts runners from around the world and raises millions of pounds for charities every year.
