Who’s afraid of Social Media?
Have you embraced social media marketing with open arms, or are you running scared? A benchmarking survey has been launched by the Chartered Institute of Marketing to find out how business is using social media.
The benchmarking survey will be conducted every 6 months and will look at a wide range of issues facing those using social media to promote their business, including:
• Which platforms businesses are investing in
• How social media activity is planned and managed
• How the success of social media investment and activity is measured
With guidance and support from Ipsos MORI, the CIM will be running surveys to benchmark business use and approaches to social media in their marketing operations. The survey is for businesses of all sizes, in all sectors, whether B2B or consumer facing, not for profit or public sector. Any business can take part in the short survey and those taking part will receive results of the survey before they are published.
Constructaquote took the survey and we say,
‘The survey seems targeted at larger companies with a dedicated marketing department and budget. If you are a small business integrating marketing into another function you may find some questions less relevant than others. It also took slightly longer than we thought but should be worth it for the copy of the report.’
